It depends what your definition of licensed is Jim. If you think a sub license which is still available for streaming free online, is considered licensed, then it's been licensed essentially since it came out. You can't buy DVDs though, other than the Japanese ones, and there are no dubs. I don't consider that licensed.

I'm going to send an email to the streaming site that has it available for legal viewing, to ask about the legality of public viewing.

for the purpose of what the school allows, our rules are that is you go to ANN and scroll down to the bottom and there is any heading that says "english companies" and there is anything at all under those headings, then it is licensed. it doesn't matter what the companies are licensed to do with them, it doesn't matter what the companies actually do with them. the point is, if there is any english company that has any sort of license on the show whatsoever, we can't show it.

Or rather, we can't show it without dealing with a lot of paperwork, run arounds, red tape, and general b.s. from the school. The licensing companies tend to not care if we show things so long as we don't charge money.
