i remember hearing about that. thought it was here, guess not. anywhere you can see (even just a rough estimate) how many they have so far?

also, anyone know anything about how the city is supposedly teaming up with the convention this year and what that will affect/how?

I think I remember them saying something about "o hay let's get lotsa pplz to come next year~!" at the closing ceremonies. It'd be kind of awesome if Metro became a 4-day con. :)

Also, chess match auditions are coming up!! http://www.metroconventions.com/control.cfm?ID=3360

Since they're being held at MOSI and have a few pretty awesome characters this year, is anyone other than me thinking about trying out?

Okay, so basically I got one confirmation email just like the one you get with the individual pre-reg with one confirmation number. So I guess I'll be going on Friday morning to pick up the passes, unless someone else who will be in Tampa this summer wants to go that Thursday night between 6 and 9pm to pick them up, then meet up with everyone on Friday morning.

won't you be in your apartment by that point?
wow... the way they are working this is kinda... meh... it makes sense i guess, if you are actually going as a group and sticking together the entire time, like if you were to take a bus or something, but doing it how we are, every man for yourself more or less, this just puts extra stress on whoever has to pick up the tickets, and everyone trying to get their tickets. the person giving them out needs to worry about trying to get them to the right people, and when everyone is showing up, and the people picking them up need to worry about finding the person with the badges. we all know how difficult it is to hear a cell phone in the crowded convention center. and what if the person with the tickets is in a panel? or the dealer's room? and what if the people going don't get there in the morning, and end up not going until like 3 in the afternoon on the first day?

Yeah, that kinds sucks. I'll help handout the passes to people, since I'll be there all day, every day, and don't usually stick around for too many panels.

I would've liked to, but I can't make the rehearsals... Maybe next year. Kelsey mentioned she was going to try out for stuff though, but I haven't heard anyone else say they were.

Yeah, I was worried about that too. But if everyone told the person with the passes when they were expecting to show up, and maybe if someone who wanted to go to a panel could hand the passes off to someone who just wanted to walk around the dealer's room for a bit, then maybe it would make it a little easier. If most people get there on Friday morning/afternoon, it won't be too much of an issue since there's usually not too much stuff going on until later that day.

this is very true....
as long as it's set up the same way it was in previous years, where you can get to AA without a badge, that would work great. just gatta make sure they don't think that we're badge sharing or anything.

it's supposed to be set up the exact same way as last year, otherwise, I'd throw a huge shitfit :D Either way though, I can almost guarantee that the AA you won't need a badge for, the only AA's I've ever seen you need one for are Momocon (duno why, the con's free o_O) and Megacon, but they charge out the ass for EVERYTHING.

I'm getting a different table this year (some jackasses already ganked the one I had T____T) It's row B in the middle atm, that *might* change, if it does, I'll let people know.

Ok, table is paid for, atm, it's B6, but that may change to either B7 or B5, I'm waiting for another artist to get back to me, since she snagged the two tables to either side of me, but yeah, I'll definitely be parked up there all weekend, and the alley is once again a badge-free zone. So it's all good ^_^

Well we already got group tickets, so you'd have to buy a single person one now; which would cost a bit more.
